Πήγαμε την Παρασκευή απόγευμα στο Dubai για βόλτα και έπαθα την πλάκα μου από το πως και πόσο έχει αλλάξει από το Δεκέμβριο του ΄99 που έφυγα! Έχει διπλασιαστεί σε μέγεθος και η επέκταση συνεχίζεται. Οικοδομικοί γερανοί παντού! Όταν το ’99 πήγαινα στο Burg Al Arab, ήταν στο τέλος της θεωρητικά αναπτυγμένης παραλιακής ζώνης. Τώρα βρίσκεται μόλις στη μέση…
Anyway, πήγαμε στο Mall of the Emirates (μεγαλύτερο εμπορικό κέντρο στα εμιράτα) και είδα ένα FJ! Είναι beauty and the beast σε ένα πακέτο!
Πίσω φαίνεται η πίστα του σκι!

Hello there! How are you? I am at Abu Dhabi at the moment for work and this place is full of interesting cars (at least for me): Cruisers, Patrols, Hummer 1, etc. I even shaw one Lamborghini LM002! But this FJ has a personality different from the new cars, similar to the wrangler personality. It has the romantic old age looks along with the technology and “luxury” of today. But above all it is a capable off roader, as I have seen in some internet sites around the world.
So, to answer your question, ye I like it! I would like to have one!
Stelako thank you for keeping us informed, I hope that everything is Ok, I think you’re having a grate time in Abu Dabi. Fj is a nice car but not for me!!!
With a pair of heavy-duty axles, a big diesel engine and a manual trans it would be fantastic. But the FJ is not like that, so “thanks but no, thanks”… not for me.
